Hello! I am a doctoral candidate at Duke University pursuing a joint degree in Political Science and Public Policy.

My research explores relationships between news media, public opinion, and political behavior, with a focus on the United States. I examine the challenges of the contemporary information environment and the mass media’s faltering capacity to provide the public with news information that is central to democratic accountability. To do so, I draw on a wide range of tools, including experimental methods, survey methods, text analysis, and machine learning. My work engages with several scholarly disciplines, including political science, public policy, mass communication, and psychology.

Prior to beginning my doctoral studies, I earned a master’s degree in public policy from Duke University and a bachelor’s degree in government from Wesleyan University.
